I’m becoming a little impatient waiting for the positive feedback of my background checking. It’s taking them too long; accordingly they are doing it by batch. So, I can’t do anything, but wait. Thankfully, I have my internet connection. One way or the other it’s diverting my attention from the situation. I can also chat with family back home and learn the things they want for Christmas. It’s not like I can do my shopping now, but at least I can make a list.
Speaking of Christmas present, mom told me to include Padron cigars if I go shopping. My uncle who will also celebrate birthday loves cigars. She read that Padron cigars are patiently handmade with Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and aged up to 2½ years. These are also among the most sought-after premium cigars among cigar lovers, which make it perfect as present to her brother. But, I have to cross my fingers by the time I will make the purchase. Padron limits their annual cigar production in order to keenly maintain quality. So, there is a possibility that it may go out of stock by that time I buy, hopefully not.
I feel happy for a friend that level-up in social ranking. She got promoted in her job this year, which is a very nice Christmas gift. She has been waiting for this for two or three years, I think. She told me this once before, but I forgot the specific period – it’s not substantial anyway. The best part is that she gets the most desired promotion she worked for years.

There’s no way we can shut it off easily because we have the control over the entire flat. Turning off the AC will mean turning off every room’s AC. Good thing the flat manager requested to shut the AC once in a while because she too is freezing.
I have to admit, I’m not so good in English. I can still remember back in my college days I often get a D in my English subject. Good thing my final grade is passable with a mark of 84. It often the reason I nearly drop from section A. Lucky, my other grades can pull the lower grade and remain in my beloved section.

I’m think she failed to recognize this potential. That’s why I’m trying to give her suggestions in a subtle way because I don’t want her to feel I’m meddling too much.
