In the meantime the cold and flu season is still here, and will continue to be for yet another while, its best we do everything we can to make sure we don’t come down with something as well. Other than dressing appropriately and making sure we get the recommended dose of daily vitamins, doctors also tell us we should not touch our face too often if we don’t want to risk catching something.
For instance, we should definitely restrain ourselves from touching our face when we’re in public places, like the bus, a cab, the gym, or at work. Of course, it’s impossible to stay germ-free all day long, health experts say, but the least we can do is make sure we don’t make physical contact with objects that others have also touched, and then rub our hands all over our face or, even worse, our mouth.
In order to do that, we must constantly check ourselves to not rest the head on our palm when staring at the computer screen, for example, absently rub a part of our face while engaged in some other activity at work or, for women, apply lipstick or gloss with the finger. Similarly, we’re not to put objects into our mouth (pencil or pen), especially if they’ve been on a desk that others have touched as well – this goes especially for those who do this compulsively.
Epidermis is the outermost layer of our skin. It contains no blood vessels, and cells in the deepest layers are nourished by diffusion from blood capillaries extending to the uppermost layers of the dermis. Skin is the largest organ in our body and one of the organs of elimination. Some serious skin complications, including a dry skin condition, can arise for people with type 2 diabetes. Dry skin when exposed to the elements, especially in winter, causes it to become drier and fine lines and wrinkles have a good chance to get a hold on your skin. And forced-air furnaces may make skin even drier than it already is.
There are different types of acne. The most common acne is the type that develops during the teen years. Puberty causes hormone levels to rise, especially testosterone. High hormones cause signal skin glands to start making more oil. Oil releases from the pores to protect the skin and keep it moist. Acne begins when oil mixes with dead cells and clogs the skin’s pores. Bacteria can grow in this mixture. And if this mixture leaks into nearby tissues, it causes swelling, redness, and pus. A common name for these raised bumps is pimples.
While millions all over the world suffer its attack, at any given time, no one for certain knows what its exact cause is. But then, we can definitely know what the probable causes of acne in adult woman. The oil produced by the facial glands is known as sebum. Cells and sebum form a blockage in the gland, when hair follicles shed dead cells too quickly. What better conditions acne wants to appear on the face?
