what I found in the mailbox

what I found in the mailboxAfter clearing things out, on what to do over the broken faucet, I usher hubby to the gate and bids goodbye as he heads out to his duty. Then, I instinctively opened the mailbox and found the few mails. It’s the first time in history to receive mail at this point of time. Water, electric, cable, and internet bills arrive early since almost all their due date falls the 1st day of the month.

I excitedly opened the mail. To my surprise its term life insurance rates from one of the insurance companies I requested. All I have to do now is to check whether or not I can afford the monthly premiums.

what freak me out yesterday

what freak me out yesterdayI freak out yesterday when hubby apologetically informs me that he broke the faucet. He accidentally hit it with the dipper. I don’t understand how it takes place, but it happened. Also, I don’t know if the plastic dipper is so durable or the metal faucet is so fragile.

It’s such a careless move. Now I have to endure having no water until it is fixed. But, I have to wait until after his training hours before heading the hardware store.

Good thing there are several Danze faucets designs available. We were able to obtain the style hubby broke. Other than that, I thought we are going to pay outrageously expensive plumber fee. Thank goodness hubby does the fixing work.

Honesty is Good for your Health

Honesty is Good for your HealthJust get it off your chest for peace of mind. It is very difficult for many people to speak up about their feelings. The most powerful way to neutralize negative emotions is to acknowledge them. In fact, when you honestly admit your feelings, you protect yourself from the flood of damaging stress hormones that these feelings produce in your body. Get it off your chest; clue people in if you are feeling disappointed, unhappy, or hurt about something.

Be honest when you convey your feelings, be kind when you criticize, and be positive when expressing your views. Once you acknowledge your feelings, they will be less likely to trouble you. Or you can hold your feelings inside, and you become a ticking time bomb, ready to explode at some minor incident – not a pretty picture for your long-term health! Own up to what’s in your heart and you will enjoy the benefits that come with peace of mind. I hope you take this advice and make honesty your policy!
