If you are going to wear a perfume, they say, it should be layered – powder, lotion and cologne should all be the same perfume to avoid olfactory clashes. If you want to wear the same scent you’ve always worn but worry that it may cause you trouble at work or in public, you may decide to lighten it by wearing eau de toilette instead of perfume, or you may choose a scented bath gel, body lotion or powder instead and keep the spray or dab-on scent for wearing on special occasions.
Traditional stance on perfumes has been that each woman finds her “signature” scent and it becomes part of personality, scenting her closet, her lingerie and her handbag. Women have often chosen the same perfume their mothers wore, making it part of a family tradition. Researchers encourage women to make more than one scent part of their “signature”. If my grandfather is still alive this time, I am sure he will be happy to receive cigars as my Christmas presents. The truth is, I have never been a good granddaughter. I seldom visit him when we were younger and only visit him once or twice when is already sick. Now, I have been reminiscing the time when he is still alive.

The two tied the knot in a quickie ceremony in Las Vegas the other day. In attendance: Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley. Well, this was just a match made in reality heaven, a mock wedding to promote Morgan’s upcoming reality show.
“Piers had persuaded Paris to take part in the 15-minute spoof ceremony at The Little Church of the West, to be aired on his VH1 show Piers Morgan on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 9 PM ET,” the same publication writes. Morgan even joked about the legality of the ceremony, telling the British media that, “Well, I don’t think I signed anything, so I’m pretty sure it’s not actually legal. Having said that, we did go through all the vows, so I can’t be entirely sure.”
As it’s already known, though they were bride and groom for the spoof segment, both stars are in serious relationships. Paris Hilton is dating on-and-off flame Doug Reinhardt, while Piers Morgan is engaged to be married to Celia Walde.
My heart broke after seeing a boy with hydrocephalus. The boy must be in deep pain and I know his mom is in deep pain as well. Seeing your child in that state is too difficult. Even if I am not yet a parent I can say it is really hard.
Hydrocephalus also known as Water on the brain is a medical condition where the cerebrospinal fluid accumulates and builds up in the brain. This causes the brain to swell and pressure to increase inside the skull, resulting in nerve damage, and progressive enlargement of the head, convulsion, and mental disability.
But, according to my research there is a Hydrocephalus treatment. But, most of these treatments are beyond the reach of common people especially in developing countries like ours. Sigh! The mother of that child could only rely on the help of donations from different organizations. Hopefully she’ll find one.
I love movies; there is no doubt about it. But, going to the movie house every now and then is not an option. Not only it is expensive, I don’t have the option to watch it over again. So, hubby and I seldom go to the movie house. It only happens during special occasions.
Oftentimes, we opt to download the movies that we like. That way, we can watch it over and over again at any convenient time. But, we have to wait for hours; sometimes it takes days for the download to complete. I blame that all to my low speed internet. But, that is okay as compared to no internet at all.
My father requested to give him a copy of the Cool Hand Luke movie. I’ve never heard of this movie before, the only way to find out is through the web. I’ve learned that it is a 1967 drama movie of Paul Newman. I’ve never realized that my father loved very old movies, older than he is.
As I find this movie, I also discover that there is a site where I can download movies in HD quality at the lowest possible price. Actually, movies and tv shows in Hi-Def and DVD quality all genres are available for downloads. Now, I can download any movies I like even the 2009 movies. Hehehe!
It is always a question of what makes a better pet, a cat or a dog, has been on the table for years, with defenders of each camp going to great lengths to show how one pet is better than the other. Speaking strictly from a scientific point of view, it seems dogs are much better friends to man than cats are; therefore the battle appears to be won by the canines, according to the recent research done by the New Scientist.
The research took the cat and the dog and figuratively pitted the one against the other in eleven major categories, ranging from brain size to usefulness and ability to bond and interacts with humans. While cats are clearly better endowed than their ancient rivals, the dogs, as regards human interactions, the latter win by a whisker. When drawing the line after analyzing the pets by the eleven criteria, New Scientist has proclaimed dog the winner with 6 to 5.
I missed my new found friends. I think it’s been six months since the last time I saw them. They are an overseas Filipino worker based in New York City. The eldest is a nurse and the second one is a Physician. They are actually my landlady months ago and miles away from my current place.
The house that we rented is not an apartment. There is only one available room that hubby and I used. But, we are allowed to use all the amenities inside including the phone, cable, internet and all. They do that on purpose because they are not after the monthly rent they just want somebody to man the house with their helper.
Since I missed them, I left them a message in friendster, which I instantly received a reply. They have been good and both are single. They told me to visit them and joke around that joke that they will get me hotel reservation new york. They never knew how difficult it is to visit them especially getting a visa. I just replied that in the future I will visit them. But, I can’t promise when. Hehehe!
Yepey! Belated happy second blogversary to this blog. Time fly so fast, I never even noticed that I have been updating this blog for two years. For that reason, I will celebrate in a simple way. Probably I will cook a good meal tonight to share with hubby.
However, I don’t have a single blog. Aside from this I have other blogs that will also celebrate their blogversary the next few days. If I will celebrate the anniversary of each blog, then I would probably bloat. Good thing there are fat burners to help me.
Despite that fact, I still have to be mindful of the things I eat. I might jeopardize my long-term weight loss goal. I have been working on it for a long time now and see a little progress. Mind you it’s only little meaning any time I will reverse that progress if I get careless.
