my complaining mom

motherMom says that she hates me in some way. I’m really confused with that. Two months ago, she ordered me to have the cable subscription disconnected because it gets in the way of my youngest brother studies. I did follow her.

However, she is complaining now that we have our subscription in our apartment. She is joking that she is jealous and angry about transferring the subscription from her house to mine. We all know that jokes are half meant, half not. But, she is my mom and I can’t talk back to her. So, I keep my thoughts inside my head.

Okay the only way to stop her from that is to return her subscription under my name. Before I do that, I have to check the latest pricing of several cable providers. I have to compare before deciding. As I scout some packages, I get a chance to check the Direct TV Packages. Actually, I can’t subscribe to this because it’s an international company. But, I just enjoy looking around.

In Direct TV there are about 250 channels ours is just 50 the same as their family package. My mom will surely love that. But, enough about Direct Sat TV I still have to check the local cable provider besides I can’t get their service. See yah!

bits and pieces about gold

canadian-maple-leafSince I started blogging, I have been reading a lot of things regarding gold coins as an investment. Actually, I know a bit information gold even before my blogging days. Since the beginning of history, it has been a highly sought-after precious metal for coinage, jewelry, and other arts. Also, it is considered one of the most liquid investment trading throughout the world daily. It can be sold in any country of your choice.

Many people that own gold stores them and hold it as a hedge against inflation or other economic disruptions. Weakness in the U.S. Dollar tends to be offset by strengthening of gold prices. Accordingly, it remains the principal financial asset for almost all central banks alongside foreign currencies and government bonds. That is why more and more people buy gold coin or they buy gold bullion and trade these to store their wealth.

Well, other people find it appealing to just collect gold coins instead of using it as an investment. I’ve learned a few months ago that they call themselves numismatics. But, I don’t belong to those people. I would rather use gold for jewelry purposes. If my goals differ from my goal today in the not so distant future, probably I’ll buy gold coin as an investment. For now, I don’t think that fits my status.
