Wireworms are the larvae of the click beetle. The worm is light yellowish-brown to dark brown in color with three pairs of legs and a hard-shelled segmented body. They attack the stems and root systems of plants, sometimes tunneling their way through the stem to above ground level. Most of its destruction however takes place below the soil level. The tubers of potato plants and turnips are greatly affected, where wireworms will riddle the tubers with their tunnels.
Since the wireworm takes three to four years to mature into a click beetle you may have to deal with the problem for quite a while.
The organic approach is to be sure to till the ground very deep, as to destroy as many worms and beetles as possible. Also, a trap can be set by cutting a potato half in two and placing it just under the soil. Every couple of days check to see if anyone is at home and if so destroy the worm.
Yesterday, the lottery has finally announced that only one winner will take home of almost $3,300,000. As I watch the report, I am day dreaming that I am that person. If I have that much I will surely tour the world. I have so many places in my head like New York for a sophisticated city travel, or Grenada for a taste of beach or the travel the dessert of Dubai. I don’t know if that amount could suffice to pay the hotel accommodation I have in mind. Well, this is just a dream so nothing to worry. Hahaha!
For a New York City travel, I would opt to stay in Waldorf Astoria New York. Basically it is a 42-story hotel is a New York Art Deco landmark. It is one of the “grand hotels” that is famous for over a century. The best thing about this hotel is that all its rooms are individually decorated in old-world style. However, the twist is that all rooms are embellished with modern amenities to answer all the guests’ whims. That would mean two worlds in one. With that it is very exciting. Having an inadequate amount of sleep, I feel like floating in the air. Plus, instead of having the heart to do my assignments, I just want to click and click every link in the web. Hahaha! I find myself really irritable and stressed. I kept on clicking everything that my cursor points from beauty products, to bags, and even to industrial supplies.
I don’t understand how I get into that topic. But, it is where I am now in redisupply, an online store that offers all kinds of industrial supplies since 1948, and that gave me the idea on what to write. Why not? I could use this information in the future. Who knows I might change career in the next couple of years. Actually, I am not really familiar with Clamps & Workholding, Leveling Devices & Vibration Control, Pneumatics & Hydraulics, Structural Systems and many more. But, I think it’s worth learning.
We often know that in the worlds of education, athletics, business, government, etc., it is recognized that a person’s attitude is often the determining factor in how well they do. In the business world the dominant factor of successful employees identified by employers was attitude. Unfortunately, there are more people with a negative rather than a positive attitude.
Fortunately, people can change. Psychologist says that you can’t change from a negative mindset to a positive mindset without changing from negative talking to positive talking. To do that, you must change the input from negative to positive. So, here’s how:
- Make a conscious decision. “Yes, I not only can change, I am changing and will continue to change.” Claim that as a positive affirmation and repeat it to yourself several times each day.
- Seek friends and family who are optimistic and upbeat and spend more time with them.
- Pick up an optimistic, upbeat, self-help book that gives specific instructions on how to move from the negative to the positive.
- Acquire the tapes of a speaker, preacher, teacher you enjoy and admire whose messages are upbeat and uplifting. Listen to each tape until you can complete many of the sentences, examples, illustrations and stories. At that point the message becomes positive self-talk and over a period of time you will change from the negative to the positive.
With a new positive mindset you will have the confidence to acquire the new skills that will make a major difference in your life.
I may not show a lot of pictures in this blog, I have taken a lot of it the first time I put a hand in my camera. I am just shy to show the bad shots I made. I have a very shaky hand and most of the pictures show how amateur I am. Hahaha. Anyway, there are still a lot that I am proud of. It’s a private thing that is why I just want to keep it in the house.
But, I don’t want to fill my house with pictures of my loved ones that is why I consider buying a digital frame a must. Having a digital frame is a good way to see memories every now and then without the need to flip a thing.
I have mentioned somewhere in my blog post that we are interested in opening a boutique. I am now very eager to make it a reality since my mom is supporting me as well. She used to push me to look for a job in the corporate arena. But, I am more interested in putting my skills in business in use.
Hubby told me to take charge of everything since I am the one with business background. The truth is, I am a bit afraid and doesn’t know when, where and how to start. This is a big challenge for me, but I am confident that I’ll be successful.
First thing is first I am now scouting for suppliers of bags, place to rent, POS systems, racks and so much more. I am doing this to know how much I really need as capital and how much I need as rolling cash. I am also doing research as to what my market want. These are just piece of my workload. There is still plenty of it in the future. I just hope that my enthusiasm to make this happen will continue.
Michael Jackson’s doctor has spoken publicly for the first time since the singer died. Dr Conrad Murray, who was with the star when he suffered a cardiac arrest on 25 June, posted a video on YouTube thanking his supporters. In the short 1min clip, Dr Murray said: “I told the truth and I have faith the truth will prevail.”
He has not been named as an official suspect in the investigation. However, court records have identified the 51-year-old as the subject of a manslaughter enquiry and he has been interviewed twice by police.
So far Dr Murray has shied away from speaking in public with statements being made through his lawyer. In fact Murray said that because of all that is going on, he is afraid to return phone calls or use e-mail. Also he said “I recorded this video to let all of you know that I have been receiving your messages. Your messages give me strength and courage and keep me going. They mean the world to me.”
One way or the other having a lot of brands is somewhat good in terms of choices and variation. However, it also presents a problem. With so many items to choose from, selection then becomes difficult. For example, if I were to buy diet pills, I would have to go through hundredths of diet pills in the market. There is a risk of buying an ineffective and unsafe product.
This problem could be countered by reading product reviews made by real customers. From what I have learned from the web the best diet pill actually works effectively, but will not jeopardize the user’s health. Next the price set would give customer satisfaction. The only way to get that information is through reading what the actual customers are saying. Good thing we can still get real customers review despite the many bogus reviews in the web.
I feel a little envious towards my friend that recently arrived from her two week vacation. It’s not a grand vacation, but it’s a really good family vacation. She was able to relax with her mom. Well, she could not afford to pay all of them that is the reason she has to choose only one member of her family.
As we are in the midst of our conversation, I have of the perfect place to spend a family vacation with everyone in the family. I am talking about the family vacation. It is the place where people can enjoy surprising indulgences and the elite level of service, luxurious accommodations, invigorating entertainment and the classy snap-to service. Isn’t that wonderful, seeing the entire family just relaxing and not thinking about work, exams, errands, chores and so on.
