I really enjoyed watching my television now as compared to last week when I still don’t have my cable connections. It’s a sacrifice having to sit down in front of the television with just five unstable channels. I am happy that our cable provider immediately installs our connection the day after filing subscription.
Actually, I am also interested with Direct satellite TV services. I have been reading their site for a long time now. I must admit that they offer a very competitive number of channels that makes me really interested to try their services.
Furthermore, Direct TV offers substantial discount to all their packages despite the fact that all the packages are with a digital-quality picture and sound, which makes even more attractive. Direct TV specials have a lot to offer me, but I am not eligible for their services. Of course, I have no choice other than to be contented with the number of programs my cable provider offer. I am not in the US area that is the main reason actually.
Well, I just finished watching the “top chief” show. Good thing lifestyle and food channels are available for me to enjoy. I love to learn cooking and watching how experts do it is just awesome. For now, I am thinking of trying to cook their dish. I wonder what it tastes like when I will be the one to do it. Hehehe! Scary!
Good reading skills are taught at school and can be reinforced at home. Here are some ways to help your child:
- Be sure your child knows how to use a book and how get what he needs from it. The table of contents, at the front of the book, shows how the information in the book is organized. It gives the overview of what the book covers. The index, at the back of the book, lists more detailed information in alphabetical order and directs you to page numbers. It can help your child decide quickly whether a book has information on a particular subject. The glossary, included at the back of some books, defines key words that may be unfamiliar.
- Before your child begins, encourage her to scan what she’s going to read. She should look at the chapter titles and headings, graphs, illustrations, and any summaries or reading aids such as boldface or italic type. Some textbooks have questions at the end of each chapter. Reading these before reading the text can help your child watch for key information as she reads the text. If she sees the “big picture” of what the chapter is about, she’ll be better able to understand and remember the details.
- Encourage your child to ask himself questions about what he’s reading, such as: What do I already know about this subject? How does the information fit into the message of the chapter as a whole? What is the author getting at? What are the most important points or concepts in the reading?
- As your child reads, have her take notes with page numbers from the text she’s reading. This will help her pay attention, and she can use her notes as a memory aid if she needs to go back to or remember the information later. She can highlight or note key words and look up any unfamiliar word in the glossary if the book has one.
- Make sure your child reviews what he has read. He should go over the main ideas and important details. And encourage him to write out answers to any study questions.
I must admit that for the past few months, I am tempted to apply as sales representative, which is way beyond my qualifications. I have been seeing lots of job postings for this job. And I am really attracted with the car plan. I think it’s the easiest way to drive a car. The problem is that I have no marketing background. I do not have enough sales experience to qualify for this job. But, let’s just see!
With regards to the car, I just wonder how the company manages the cost for their sales person. There must be some sort of a third party Fleet program. Employees can just lie about the cost they incur during their trip, no one will know. I am not generalizing all, but I know there are few who are doing hocus-pocus. It is unavoidable for a human being to be tempted.
Basically, fleet programs from a third party greatly help companies reduced cost. They will be the one that will determine the actual cost of fuel, taxes, parking tickets and so much more for the assigned area of the employee. An employee can no longer take advantage of the fuel expenses for his or her personal use. Or there is no way that he or she can cheat the company by filling fuel of friends or family car. This is a good way for companies especially during difficult times like recession.
I really like to stay outside the house especially for a morning cup of coffee and during the afternoon while the sun sets. I did not expect that we can get a house that already has patio furniture. I am used to renting a house that doesn’t even have a garden. I feel lucky to finally live in a house that fits my taste. Of course, I still have plans of buying a house. I don’t intend to rent for the rest of my life. Back to my patio furniture, I think all I need now is to buy an umbrella to protect the furniture from getting soak up from the rains, and protect the paint from chipping as well.
Ever since a child, I never have perfect teeth. It has been one of my frustrations as it hinders me to smile to people. This is my problem until I got a job.
