Ever since, I am interested in doing meditation. I have been reading several good results from doing such. One of my friends can prove its relaxation effect to the human mind and body. For almost a year, she is inviting me to join her in her meditation session even though I am miles and miles away.

I made a promise to myself that when I return, which is I am since last Thursday, I will give her a Singing Bowl. I want it unique and handpicked by the seller from the Nepal or Tibet. The good thing is that I have to look no further. I saw one in silver sky imports. Accordingly, they have the finest collection of Tibetan Singing Bowls from the Himalayas.

There are several unique pieces which are very interesting. But the piece that really struck me most is the crystal bowl. As my reading continue, I learned that this unique bowls create amazing sound that is perfect for meditation and healing with pure fused Quartz Crystal. I have two options whether to get the clear or frosted style. I think I’ll get the frosted one because I like it better.

With this finds I know that I am at peace with my promised. My friend will surely give me a big grin when she sees it. First things first, I still have to contact her that I am back. She doesn’t know that I am home.

timely-planI did mention in my previous post that my friends and I are planning for a reunion when I go home. It’s a very timely plan, hubby said that we should go home soon. We don’t see any improvements here. So, it’s time to go home. That means we need a new luggage. Oh I was not able to post that the Samsonite luggage went home ahead of us. Yup you heard it right. Actually the owner did ask it back so we have to send it back. It’s not ours anyway. Well, that left us luggage free. Luggage free! Gosh, packing without a luggage is difficult. We have to buy our own before we transfer. Silly me of course, we will do that.

Cleaning stainless steel is not as simple to clean as the name would like you to believe. Yes, stainless steel does not stain, as long as you do not think that streaks are stains. Here are a few ideas to help you have streak free stainless steel.

  • For cleaning small stainless steel items, soak them in warm water and then rub with lemon juice or vinegar before rinsing thoroughly.
  • Vinegar is great for cleaning stainless steel. To clean and polish stainless steel, simply moisten a cloth with undiluted white or cider vinegar and wipe clean. Can also be used to remove heat stains on stainless steel cutlery.
  • Stainless steel worktops and sinks tend to have streaks on them after cleaning. So a simple little tip to remove those steaks is to rub them with olive oil. It will  remove the streaks.
  • Another way to remove streaks or heat stains from stainless steel is by rubbing the item or area with club soda. Simple but effective.

treasured-talk-timeI just have a good time talking to a friend whom I haven’t seen for a year. Actually we are colleagues before, a group of three in one office. When craziness hits our heads, the three of us resigned our jobs one by one. It goes like this, I went out first, followed by another the following month and so on. So, the three of us left in just three months. And of course, our boss wants to kill us three, literally.

Now each of us is living different lives. We don’t have the luxury of time we used to have before. The very reason we treasure every minute of our talk time. We don’t actually talk about future or words to ponder. We are only talking about simple things like where to buy diet pills, lotion, make up, clothes and so much more. And the topic will just swirl to nowhere or to anything. It sounds shallow, but it creates bonding between us. This time we are planning for a reunion, only if I go home. Maybe in the future I think.

paranoid feeling

paranoid-feelingThe owner of the house arrived yesterday and there is a feeling of excitement and fear. It’s not that we have done something to the house that cause us to feel that way. Maybe we are just anxious that they will not like us, or they might say something about us. Forget about it, we are just paranoid of their arrival I guess.

The first thing the man did is checked the details of the house, undermount sink, the roof, the paint and so on. He even went at the back to check the place. Well, there goes our day. The good thing is that they did not stay for long. They went ahead after living their bags. That’s a relief, at least we won’t feel awkward again. But, they will be back on Thursday for their bags. I guess will have to go somewhere then.

Cardio exercise will Make us Fatter?

In theory, together with a more balanced diet, should help us lose the pounds and tone our body in a relatively short period of time. However some expert says, if cardio is what we’re hoping will help us in our endeavor, we should perhaps shift our attention towards the weight-lifting area, since we’re more likely to get even fatter than the other way around.

It has been pointed out that running on the treadmill or sweating it out on the rowing machine is two of the most common exercises with women who are trying to lose weight. The majority of them shun the weight-lifting area on the basis that it builds unaesthetic muscles, thus depriving their body of all traces of femininity – yet, they are not aware that it is, in fact, this type of exercise that promotes weight loss the most. Women also believe that if they sweat a lot during cardio, they’re bound to lose more pounds, but are oblivious to the fact that cardio exercises actually burn less calories than weight lifting.

Weight training is having better results than with other exercises because cardio can break down lean tissue as the body is attempting to generate energy to keep up the pace. This, in turn, slows down the Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), meaning the rate at which calories are burned decreases. While, resistance exercises such as weight lifting, build up lean tissue, thus boosting BMR. The yo-yo dieting effect (which is certain to appear once we stop going to the gym for our daily hour of cardio) will thus no longer make its presence felt and we will lose weight but, at the same time keep our body toned and fit. my brothers’ consultation

my-brothers-consultationMy brother is a bit anxious of his current job as a teller. He wants to shift to a job that he doesn’t need to hold money. He is interested in applying sales manager jobs. One of his clients offered him this position. He tried consulting me this since he is a bit confused on what to do.

Well, I am having difficulty on what to answer him as well. He is seeking advice to the wrong person I guess. I have been a manager once; I don’t want to say anything bad. But, true I went through a tough time especially that I am very young when I get the position. I guess I am not prepared that time, just like him. I say that he needs to be mentally and emotionally prepare if he really wants the new job or he will end up being so exhausted and drained like me.
