For a healthy body, it is essential for women to drink less-alcohol since woman’s bodies are composed of more body fat and less water. Unlike men, alcohol intake of women reaches the liver more quickly and in higher concentrations making more vulnerable to long-term damage to our heart, liver, pancreas and nervous system. So, drink safely which means no more than two or three units a day (one unit equals ten millimeters), no more than 14 units a week, with a few alcohol-free days. More than six units in one sit counts as binge drinking, doubles the risk of stroke in the short-term.
