Ways to prolong younger looking face
  • Always wear sunscreen with SPF 15 to fight harmful UV rays, which can also come from indoor lights (not just the sun).
  • Adjust your computer screen to eye level to keep your posture straight when working at your desk. This helps in controlling the force of gravity that could cause your skin to wrinkle.
  • Add the contents of a vitamin E capsule in your honey mask and apply it on your face. Leave on for ten minutes, and then rinse with warm water and pat dry. This is a quick fix for skin damage due to free radicals.
  • Snooze off those wrinkles. Sleeping allows time for skin to recover and rejuvenate. Doze off only with one pillow to avoid having a double chin and a turtle neck in the long run.
  • Exercise to keep your endorphins up. Engage in fun activities with family and friends.
  • Quit smoking now and let your skin breathe better.

Organizing Under the sink

Even in a spotless kitchen, chances are this cabinet door conceals a disaster zone of drippy cleaners, sloppy scrubbers, grungy sponges – and maybe worse. To organize and maximize space, first purge the excess products. Once you can see the shelf floor, protect it from future spills with inexpensive vinyl tiles. Lastly, give everything a specific home – right down a mounted clothespin to keep rubber gloves front and center.

Don’t allow rags, brushes, or sponges to loiter on your sink top, leaving germy puddles. Instead, let tools dry out of sight in a wire basket or on hooks tacked to the inside of a cabinet door. Before attaching hangers, make sure you’re placing them when they’ll be easy to reach during cleanup.

A lazy Susan corrals frequently used cleaners like dishwashing liquid, set the Susan just inside the door so it spins easily. Tuck a riser shelf around your plumbing to utilize otherwise-wasted vertical space. Bulky items such as buckets and boxes of trash bags can go on top, extra sponges beneath.

30 second exercise Trick

Now you can work out less – and get more fit. A recent study showed that about a half hour of sprint cycling (alternating speeds by pedalling quickly for 30 seconds and then at slow pace for four minutes) is as effective as an hour and a half of moderate pedalling. The key is the series of 30 second power bursts.

Scar Prevention

Since it is difficult to treat long standing, especially keloid-type scarring, the best approach is prevention.

  • Clean the area early, removing debris and other material contaminating the wound. If it a gaping wound, go to a medical professional for closure, so eventual scarring is minimized.
  • Apply an antibacterial ointment to promote the regrowth of skin cells, and use a semi-breathable dressing. More than a week’s delay in cell regrowth may cause a big scar to form.
  • To lighten dark scars, bleaching products containing hydroxyquinone or exfoliants containing alpha-hydroxyacid (AHA) or glycolic acid may be used. Test for hypersensitivity first by first using small quantities over non-exposed areas. Be prepared to use it over an extended period of three to six months. Before buying the product, make sure there is a seal of approval by the Bureau of Food and Drug (BFAD) and buy only from licensed and known drugstores.
The facts of fights

Spats are inevitable in a relationship, but they’re nothing to get heated up about. It’s not the arguing but the way you argue can be a problem. Dirty arguing, nonstop arguing, or refusing to forgive – none of these are good. But the occasional fight? Perfectly healthy! Here, the cold hard facts on couples and their disagreements, from an online survey of 5000 people:

  • Couples have 182 arguments per year, and each dispute lasts an average of 25 minutes (a total of 3 solid days!).
  • Top reasons for arguments are chores, not listening and lack of making love.
  • Sixty-seven percent of people say regular arguments help clear the air.
  • During their first year together, couples are more likely to jump into bed to get over a fight, whereas year down the line, a quick apology will do the trick.
