Garlic; Good for our Health!

Did you know that one clove of garlic contains around 12 mg of potassium, 5 mg of calcium and over 100 sulfuric compounds that can effectively fight bacterial infections? If you can get past its pungent smell, raw garlic is definitely the best one to eat, as it has been scientifically proven to lower blood pressure, fight cholesterol and kill parasites.

Here is a recipe for roasted garlic and garlic oil, two immunity-friendly must-haves in your summer kitchen. Use this low-calorie garlic mash to add flavor to anything from soups to stews to garlic bruschetta starters. The mash also works for grilled fish or chicken. The garlic oil can be used to replace olive oil in cooked or fresh dishes and salads, to roast tomatoes or grill vegetables.

What you need:

4 large garlic heads

3 cups olive oil

4 sprigs fresh rosemary / thyme

2 teaspoons black peppercorns

How you do it:

First of all, preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Then cut each garlic head into four without peeling the cloves and leaving the skins intact. Place the pieces of garlic in a casserole dish and pour enough olive oil to cover them, add the herbs and bake for about an hour until the cloves have softened and released their full flavor. Cool the mixture, then strain the garlic oil in a separate dish (a glass bottle for example) and store it at room temperature. Mash the garlic after removing the skins and place it in the fridge in an airtight container. It will hold for up to three weeks. Voila!

All about eyes

As the saying goes “beauty is in the eyes of the beholder” it only implies that our eyes are an important part of our body. It is the only way we can appreciate the beauty of the world such as the smile of our kid, the sunrise and sunset and many more. For this reason, some people are being over protected while other just seems to ignore the importance of their eyes. Continually abusing the use of the eyes can lead to significant damage.

There are many ways to keep eyes in better condition such as eating foods rich with vitamin-A, wearing sunglasses during hot days and eyeglasses that can protect from computer radiation. Also, wearing eyeglasses that can help strengthen ocular muscle such as pinhole eyeglasses will help improve better vision.

Let’s face it; we can’t stop our eyes from getting strained in reading, watching TV, and exposure to computer. All of these can lead to different eye disorder such as myopia, hyperopia, presbyopia, astigmatism, computer vision syndrome or cataracts. Another factor is age since; as we grow older our vision gets weaker. A perfect medication would be, to use a proper gadget like pinhole glasses.

Pinhole eyeglasses prove its effectiveness in eye medication through 50 years of serving customers. The best thing about this device is that it does cure eye disorder but also prevents eye deterioration. This is an alternative that should be considered due to the trail of evidence it left that is an equal performance to expensive prescription eyeglasses. They had gained popularity for this reason. Because of high demand of this glasses manufacturers develops a more stylish and well-finished designs; that is in tuned for this generation.

gay friends!

I use to remember way back in college where I have my gay friends. At first I am hesitant to be with them because of the bad things other people say about them. Some say they are bad citizen and disgusted people. But as time goes by and I got to know them better, I change my perception since I found out that they are very cool and fun to be with people. I have to thank them since I know nothing about fashion before. They are the ones who taught me how to fix properly.

As I can remember the most important part in their life that time is joining a beauty contest where my friend became Ms. Korea. I automatically remember my friend after hearing about this Gay Fest 2008 where they can present their extraordinary talents and skills. If he will know that gay romania organize this kind of event he will surely save all his money to join this event. Most especially when he will know that they have Miss travesti as the main event. I know for a fact that he will spend thousands of cash to create a magnificent gown different from everyone. Hey! Let’s face it they are very creative in terms of imagination.

An info on Phishing…

Phishing involves an email message being sent out to as many Internet email addresses that the fraudster can obtain, claiming to come from a legitimate organisation such as a bank, online payment service, online retailer or similar. The email requests the recipient to update or to verify their personal and financial information. Some of the email messages include a threat that failure to update or validate will result in, for example, the account being frozen. The objective is to induce unsuspecting recipients to respond to the email and to provide the information being requested.

The email will contain a link that takes you to a spoof web site that looks identical, or at least very similar, to the organisation’s genuine site. In some cases, when the link in the email is clicked, the genuine site is accessed, but is overlaid with a smaller window with the spoof site, making it more believable. Clicking on a link may also download malicious software, known as “spyware” onto your PC which will record your use of the Internet and forward this information, and possibly a log of your keystrokes, to the fraudster. The fraudsters will use this financial information to compromise bank accounts, credit cards, etc.

Let us work together to combat and keep ourselves protected from these fraud attacks

For all tea drinkers

Lots of studies have shown the health benefits of tea – it lowers the risk of heart disease, stroke, and possibly certain cancers. But does it deliver its most touted benefit; to soothe and calm? To find out, British researchers divided 75 tea drinkers into two groups. One drank four cups of black tea a day, while the other has “placebo tea” – identical in taste, smell and caffeine content, but lacking active tea ingredients. Six weeks later, the groups underwent a stressful challenge. Immediately after, the black tea drinkers had lower levels of stress hormone cortisol than those who’d been drinking the placebo. High level of cortisol can weaken your immune system; they’ve also been linked to cravings for high-fat, high-sugar foods. So if a bad day has you yearning for a brownie, try sipping tea instead.

Tips on preserving your photos

Removing photographs from self-adhesive albums

  • to pry them up, use a thin craft spatula
  • use a warm blow drier to melt the gum between photo and the page
  • run waxed dental floss between the photo and the page
  • if none of these work just simply cut the photos out of the album

Repairing damage photographs

  • Make use of the Adobe Photoshop on your computer. Scan your photo and use it to erase stains and correct color.
  • Don’t try to restore cracks, tears, or scratches on your own. Look for a photograph processor who offers digital restoration. They will produce a new negative by taking a picture out of the old one. They will add contrast to faded areas and lightens stains. Surely you will get a brand new old photo.
