Your Skins Basic Needs!

Since our skin is the biggest organ, it is the most obvious indicator of health and beauty. Besides defining ones appearance, the skin also takes care of us in many ways. It protects us from physical trauma and from exposure to harsh external elements and it also regulates body temperature and the metabolism of nutrients.

This means regardless or our age, race and color, our skin has specific needs that we have to fully understand;

Sufficient sleep. Aim for 6 to 8 hours of sleep.

Proper diet. Avoid excessive amount of sugar, refined carbohydrates, fatty and fried food. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables.

Fresh air. The skin uses 7% of the oxygen we take into our lungs.

Adequate water intake. Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water daily.

Exercise. Boost blood flow with 30 minutes of cardiovascular activity, thrice a week.

Rest and relaxation. Tension can make skin oilier, stressful expressions can lead to unnecessary wrinkles.

Proper skin regimen. Adhere to a proper and safe routine of cleansing, toning, and moisturizing your skin. Keep your skin protected from the sun, as it prompts cellular damage and leads to signs of ageing.
