while watching TV!

Hello there everyone I’m here again to say something about my day… Well we had these long break once again but I’m kinda bored here at home. Staying at home is no longer my routine because I got used in working 9 hours a day, meaning I stay in the bank longer than in my house. Somehow I found something to keep myself busy and that is to watch TV.I would like to share what I have seen on the cable. Have you seen the show in Discovery Travel and Living entitled “Passport to Latin America with Samantha Brown”? I recently watched the show and I was so fascinated about the places she had been in South America. On her episode she went to Santiago, Chile and mingled with the locals, people are Spanish speaking and they do have a very busy lifestyle. Accordingly Chile is the most prosperous nation in the South American continent to date, and it really show off to the people because of their modern lifestyle. Though they have the western lifestyle they are still proud of their ancestral heritage of being native Americans. Some locals built shop that displays their cultural traditions. They sell goods that are totally Indians, like spears, sombreros and even woven clothes like ponchos and many more.

Samantha also featured the scenic spots of the country, Santiago-the vibrant capital of Chile is situated on foot of the Andes giving the people nice view of the snowcapped mountains, a wonderful place to behold indeed. Waterfalls were all around the suburb and could you imagine that all water falling from these falls were actually coming from the melting snow of the mountains?. According to her it was very cold but refreshingly good. Wow I got to try those haha if it’s possible.

Meanwhile what I like most of the episode is the culinary creativity of the Chilean people. Most of the foods are mixed flavor of the European and American Indian influence. Just like the beef recipes which are so flavorful and tasty to look at. Wines are also a proud product of Chile, with rich and fertile land the country has a lot of winery which is comparable with the European counter parts.

Chile really has so many exciting things to offer, it is a wonderful place as told by Samantha Brown. From the time I saw the show I now have it in my mind that one day I could visit this country and wander as a tourist. That’s all for now and have a blessed New Year to all! Adios!

pet love!

All your pet really needs is love, exercise, and a dry place to sleep in. A cushion or dog bed protects him from the cold floor that can cause discomfort in older dogs, especially those suffering from arthritis. Always have a bowl of fresh water nearby. A chew toy or dog bone can keep his teeth marks off your favorite shoes.

Feng Shui Your Apartment!

Most of us who live in high-density urban areas know full well that small living spaces are a fact of life. No one likes minimal square footage, but most of the times, a small apartment is not as much a choice as it is a necessity. However, with a little help from three basic feng shui principles, we can come up with a relatively simple plan to give our small apartments a little weekend makeover which will prove beneficial for both the state of our wardrobes and our spiritual wellbeing.

Rule number one: no more clutter. “Clearing clutter is a logical step to accomplish your goals. Keeping your home and workplace clean and organized promotes happiness, efficiency, and peace of mind” advises Jayme Barrett, who specializes in techniques for personal fulfillment and author of bestselling book “Feng Shui Your Life”.

Whether we’re talking shelves or counter tops, the basic rule of thumb is “minimalism”. Remove every single object from such surfaces, dust them and then reorganize all the items you need to keep visible. Focus on your dearest photos, the objects you care about most and which have positive connotations. But remember – not too much of them.

Next, reorganize your wardrobe. Coordinate your clothes after a certain code – whether it’s color, season, and type and so on. Personalize as much of the process as you possibly can, in order to create your own world with your own rules – something which is bound to keep the feel-good factor up and running.

Then, it’s time to put aside the dusting cloth and focus more on feelings. Barrett explains that “Feng Shui is based on the idea that everything is energy, therefore ‘energetic’… and that every object in your life has a memory association, as well as an energy attachment that consciously or unconsciously affects you”.
In other words, don’t let any photos of your exes linger around. Put anything that you associate with a painful break-up or emotionally distressing episode in your life in a box and store it out of sight if you can’t stand the thought of throwing them away completely.

Finally, it’s important to identify the places in your apartment where you’re more likely to spend a lot of time seated – your desk, the living room couch, your favorite kitchen chair. Whether it’s framed movie posters or world maps, they make for excellent inspiration and will remind you of positive experiences and projects you may have for the future. There’s always room for a little more color in your life, and this is the best way to get it. Just have fun purchasing the posters and putting them up – then enjoy the results of your hard work and you’ll feel better already.

fish as memory enhancer

The idea that fish is brain food may be more than folklore. In a recent study of 2031 elderly men and women, researchers found that those who regularly ate seafood did significantly better on cognitive tests than those who ate a little and none. The more fish the study subjects ate – top performers averaged 2.6 ounces a day – the better they did on the tests, which included measures of memory and attention. A typical serving is four to six ounces, but think beyond fillets and steaks. You can enjoy smoke salmon with your morning eggs or add canned tuna to a spicy tomato sauce and serve over pasta. You can also toss minced anchovies in your salad since they add zip without being too fishy. Such a good news for a fishy lover like me.

A day after Christmas!

After the Christmas break, I really anticipated that this day would be very busy. Working in a bank is very tedious especially when there are holidays because all works are waiting for you. I had served a lot of clients today, I had a lot of encashment, check validation and cash deposits.. I almost got into tension with a client because I forgot to call his attention after validating his transaction but I still apologized anyway.

After banking hours I started to count and balance my transactions and I was so thankful that everything went good. I was balanced and my transactions were all correct. I went home with a smile on my face because once again it was a job well done.

Well that was my experience today and I’m again expecting something like that in the days to come, you know after the New Years break LOL :D
